Hi guys, and welcome back to the fourth edition of SPORFORYA5. Before we begin, I would quickly like to highlight what our project is about for all the new readers joining us this week. The project Sporforya5 aims to highlight sports providers, including facilitates, events, and centers in Southern California. This campaign covers all of your favorite sports, ranging from swimming to cycling and every other sport in between.
Each week we handpick five providers in Southern California that we think are doing an amazing job at facilitating the locals with sports and fitness facilities.
A true “Friends” fan is aware of the fact that baseball is a very serious sport and the folks at the Home Run Park agree.
The Home Run park has a number of pitching machines that you use for your next practice session located at Beach Blvd. If you are already aware of the sport rules and you want to practice without interference or you want a friendly environment to hit some balls with your team, it is the place to be.
They also provide training for amatuer players with highly experienced trainers. Both of the instructors have almost 25 years of professional experience. You can reach out to them on the website and register yourself to book a slot. Their classes include both hitting and pitching lessons.
Even if you don’t have the equipment required to play, they have you covered. You can purchase gloves, bats, and even balls from their souvenir shop.
Our next pick is a super fun activity for all the kids out there. We understand the importance of indulging kids in physical activities that is why we try to incorporate providers for them each week as well. The Hwang’s ATA Martial Arts features a huge gymnasium for children and adults who are interested in learning an important life skill.
All of their instructors are highly qualified and have the relevant certifications, the company also runs a thorough background check on them. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about the safety at all.
Another impressive thing about their facility is that their classes are highly optimized according to your age group. The academy divides the students into groups of three – kids, teens, and adults – and customize their plans for them.
The ATA organization has over 100,000 graduates, and they provide training facilities for corporate groups as well. If you are looking for a fun team bonding activity for your work, you should definitely contact them for a session.
They are located at 5567 E Santa Ana Canyon Rd, just outside of Los Angeles.
Did you know that running is one of the best ways to keep your body in shape and maintain good stamina? Whereas running at parks is a really good way to get in some cardio, it can get lonely at times. Therefore, running groups are an excellent way to get some exercise and make friends at the same time.
The Aloha Run is one such event, which takes place at the San Diego beach, how exciting is that?! They have two different formats for 5km and the 10km event. The organizers have a no age limit policy, therefore, it is open to all. You can take your sweet time in completing the track, without anyone breathing down your neck, in the end, they provide you with a medal to acknowledge your efforts.
They have a huge set of sponsors, and they have an entire vibe going on at the beach with relevant tunes, and an easy-going atmosphere. You can register yourself for the next event on their website, where they have several testimonials from previous participants validating their efforts.
Oh, and if you are looking to be a part of their team, you can volunteer for the program, and help them set up the event. Lastly, don’t forget to attend their after-party and have lots of fun with your new friends, snacks, and beach games!
We are particularly intrigued by our next provider and the sports that they offer. La Madrona Swim & Racquet Club offers several Aquatics, which is a term used to define water sports. Equipped with three different pools with variable depth and three spas, this is the place to be during summers.
They have a variety of classes and sports for you to choose from, including diving lessons, swimming classes for both adults and children, professional swim teams, and water polo for kids!
Even though water polo is not that popular, it is an excellent sport to enroll your child into. It encapsulates the discipline that a child would learn from basketball, hockey, and soccer and combines it with all the goodness of playing in a pool.
Your child would not only have a great time at the facility, but they would also learn the importance of teamwork, dedication, responsibility, and perseverance. The club is located at 1897 La Madrona Drive Santa Cruz.
Our last pick for this week is a fitness center. The Gold’s Gym is one of the fitness centers that are operating during the pandemic, however, they are totally in compliance with the guidelines provided by the government.
This state of the art gym is quite different from the conventional gyms that we are used to. They have fully equipped studios with the latest machines and sports gear. They have professional-level amenities at their studio, including a cardio room, weight room, pool, sauna, and many others.
Furthermore, they have multiple nutritionists on board, so that you can discuss your needs and requirements with them and devise a well-thought-out plan for your fitness journey. It is quite obvious from their website that their team is professional and is well-educated about their roles.
All in all, we think Gold’s Gym is a wholesome facility and is worth a try. They are located at 735 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA.
With that, we are going to wrap our article for this week. However, don’t forget to provide us with your feedback. Let us know if you have any personal experience with any of our top picks this week? Or you want us to cover your facility next? Reach out to us and let us know what you want us to talk about next week. We love hearing your opinions!
Thank you for reading and don’t forget to stay active!
Until next time,
